Description
Summary:We synthesized and characterized a new series of soluble conjugated electroluminescent (EL) polymers with high molecular weight using the Gilch polymerization method. The resulting EL polymers showed excellent solubility and good film forming property. The number average molecular weight (Mn) and polydispersities of the polymers were in the range of 79,000–429,000 and 1.05–7.80, respectively. The UV-visible absorption spectra showed at around 428–490 nm and their maximum PL emission spectra appeared at around 527–598 nm. As the increasing MEH-PPV content in copolymers, the UV-visible adsorption peaks of the copolymers were red-shifted from 440 nm to 490 nm.
