Summary: | A new metastable intermolecular composite (MIC) which employs KMnO4 nanoparticles as the oxidizer has been developed for energetic‐material applications. The nanoparticles are synthesized by a spray‐drying process, and a strong correlation between pressurization rates (measurement schematic shown in Figure) for several MIC combinations and the fraction of reactive oxygen present in the combustion product is observed. |
