Variation of microhardness with chemical composition for melt-spun Mg–Pd and Mg–Pd–Ni amorphous alloys

Mg 100− x Pd x ( x = 10, 15, 20 and 30) and (Mg 0.9Pd 0.1) 100− y Ni y ( y = 5, 10, 15 and 20) amorphous alloys have been studied from the viewpoint of their microhardness. The micro-Vickers hardness of these amorphous alloys shows a tendency to increase with decreasing the interatomic spacing.
