Gas diffusion measurement using hollow-core photonic bandgap fiber

We report the use of hollow-core photonic bandgap fiber (PBF) for gas diffusion measurement. Gas concentration within the hollow-core of the PBF is monitored by measuring the attenuation of guided light through the PBF due to the absorption of light by the gas sample.
