Description
Summary:The Golden Omega Award is presented at each EEIC exposition. The recipient is an outstanding person of science, engineering, education, or industry who has made important contributions to technical progress, often related to the electrical/electronics field. The award has been presented since 1958. The Golden Omega Award itself is in the form of a large trophy. Its phonetic and visual resemblance to the words Omega and Ohm is not coincidental; the Omega symbol for resistance stands atop the trophy, a fitting symbol for those who resist convention and push the technological frontier fonvard. The previous award winners included in this souvenir collection offer perhaps the best explanation of the outstanding accomplishment that this honor represents.< >
