Description
Summary:At present, austenitic steels are the main structural materials for the shells and claddings of fast reactors of the first wall of a thermonuclear reactor. We analyze the swelling behavior of alloyed austenitic stainless steels from the viewpoint of cooperative interaction between the structural defects, the decomposition of solid solution, and the evolution of precipitates of the second phases. We also study the role of alloying elements in the processes of evolution of the structure and composition of these steels as well as their radiation resistance.
