Summary:This communication shows that axisymmetric consistometry of power-law viscous fluids can be based on simple formulae for slump and spreading. Moreover, matching conditions with formulae obtained for yield stress fluid consistometry are examined. Finally, the duration of the experiments can be evaluated. The status of consistometry as a rheometrical test is improved.
