Summary: | Using physicochemical analysis, the Bi,Te3-T1GaTe2 system is shown to contain Bi2Te3- and TIGaTe2-based restricted solid-solution series and a liquid-liquid miscibility gap in the composition range approx 12-30 mol % T1GaTe2. The power factor alpha2sigma of (Bi2Te3)1-x (TlGaTe2)x solid solutions with 0.01 < or = x < or = 0.02 is suitable for thermoelectric applications. |
