Phase transitions of p-type ZnAs2 at very high pressures

The electrical resistance and thermoelectric power of p-ZnAs2 are measured in the pressure range 15-50 GPa. The results attest to phase transitions at 7-10 and 25-30 GPa. ZnAs2 and CdAs2 belong to the family of II-V semiconductors and crystallize in the monoclinic and tetragonal systems, respectivel...

Description
Summary:The electrical resistance and thermoelectric power of p-ZnAs2 are measured in the pressure range 15-50 GPa. The results attest to phase transitions at 7-10 and 25-30 GPa. ZnAs2 and CdAs2 belong to the family of II-V semiconductors and crystallize in the monoclinic and tetragonal systems, respectively [1]. Their crystal structures contain, along with M-As bonds, zigzag chains of As atoms running along the c axis. As a result, the electrical properties of CdAs2 and ZnAs2 crystals are highly anisotropic.
