Description
Summary:Roentgenography is widely used in medical practice for imaging internal organs. However, conventional methods provide only shade imaging, which detects only deviation from anatomical pattern. It is virtually impossible to identify the physical nature of the tissue using this method. For example, orthoprojections of calcinate and blood vessels may coincide with each other in a fluorogram (roentgenogram). Differentiation of objects requires additional roentgenographic examination (different projection, tomogram, etc.). This increases dose load on patient and examination cost. However, there are other methods for determination of effective atomic number of absorbing tissue based on multienergy spectroscopy [1, 6, 9, 10].
