Summary:Nowadays it have been well-documented the efficacy of Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) as a useful tool for treating several pathologies. One commonly reported contraindication of LLLT is in patients affected by neoplastic diseases. We have reviewed current research works in this field, in order to elucidate whether or not it is possible to introduce our commercial laser therapeutic equipment in the specialty of oncology. Some distinction is made between direct application of laser radiation over neoplastic tissues and its application on trigger points.
