Electron transfer in DNA probed by the muon labelling method: A new interpretation

Description
Summary:In order to explain the anomaly in the field dependence of the Risch–Kehr relaxation parameter for A- and B-conformation selected DNA, which was observed in our previous μSR measurements, the level crossing resonance was proposed taking into account of the helicity interaction between the moving electron and its orbital motion for the interaction Hamiltonian. Thus, a clear evidence was obtained for the electron transport through base-plates in DNA.
