Summary: | The traditional overlapping resolution mapping (ORM) scheme was modified for application in HPLC with the flow rate of the mobile phase as a new factor. The mobile phase composition and a flow rate were taken as parameters to influence effective resolution and elution time. Chromatograms were obtained for the separation of the 16 compounds for ten trial conditions. Computer-assisted mathematical simulation was used to obtain optimum conditions for resolution and separation time of the compounds. The validity of the model developed was confirmed by experiments. |
