Description
Summary:Data have been analysed concerning the temperature dependence of the coercivity H c of Fe–Pr–B sintered magnets, which have been published in science articles over the years. Extracting the reliable experimental data, it is shown that the values of the local self‐demagnetization coefficient, having been presented in most of those articles, are exaggerated by a factor of almost 2. It is demonstrated that the simple one‐dimensional model allows one to explain the hysteresis properties of Fe–Pr–B sintered textured magnets after the revision of this value. The dependence of H c on chemical composition is calculated. The role of intergrain exchange coupling is discussed. (© 2006 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
