Cadmium decontamination of liquid streams by arthrobacter species

Laboratory experiments on the ability of 4 species of Arthrobacter to remove cadmium from solution, in the presence of various carbon sources, are reported. The results, summarized in a table and a graph, confirmed the possibility of using metal-tolerant bacteria to treat industrial waste waters.
