Summary:For many years, the Russian Scientific and Technical Conference "Nondestructive Testing and Diagnostics" has been held in different cities of Russia every three years. In 2005, the conference was organized by the Russian Society of Nondestructive Testing and Engineering Diagnostics, the Ural Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences (UD RAS), the Government of the Sverdlovsk oblast, the National Association of Testing and Welding, the Institute of Engineering Science of the UD RAS, the Institute of Metal Physics of the UD RAS, and Ural State Technical University (USTU). This forum was a large undertaking. More than 500 delegates from seven countries and guests from Germany and Great Britain participated in the conference.
