Description
Summary:Wastewater produced from the paper industry is very complex in nature and the hazardous impact of this effluent can be attributed to a complex mixture of extractive compounds. In this context, the biological degradability of some chemical compounds commonly used in paper industry is studied using sodium benzoate as the reference compound. The nine compounds studied include the anti-coating ester product, Formamidin-sulfinic acid, Hedifix-M/35, Basoplasr 200 D, Basoplast PR 8053, Basazol Orange 52 L, Basazol Brown 32 L, Ukanol BSA 1, and Solidurit KM.
