Summary: | This paper reports on our progress in attempting to realise an apparatus for studying atomic and molecular clusters. Specifically, we describe our design and present some preliminary results for a new triple coincidence electron momentum spectrometer. This apparatus is an (e,2e + ion) configuration where the two electrons from an electron impact ionisation event and the residual ion are detected in coincidence in order to probe the intermolecular bonding in van der Waals clusters. |
