Description
Summary:A two-tier architecture of hierarchical control is proposed for future generation rotorcraft that demand enhanced performance and reliability. The continuously-varying controller at the lower tier is designed using probabilistic robust control approaches. The discrete-event supervisory controller at the upper tier is built upon the concepts of time-frequency analysis, symbolic dynamics, and automata theory. Results of simulation experiments based on the GENHEL model of UH-60 black hawk helicopter are presented.
