Magnetism of insulator phase in SrRu1−xMnxO3 (0.4⩽x⩽0.6)

Temperature dependence of magnetization was measured in the insulator phase of SrRu1-xMnxO3 (0.4x0.6) at magnetic fields up to 15T. For the sample with x=0.6, the peak of the magnetization changes from 210 to 250K with increasing magnetic field up to 5T and slightly decreases above it. The paramagne...

Description
Summary:Temperature dependence of magnetization was measured in the insulator phase of SrRu1-xMnxO3 (0.4x0.6) at magnetic fields up to 15T. For the sample with x=0.6, the peak of the magnetization changes from 210 to 250K with increasing magnetic field up to 5T and slightly decreases above it. The paramagnetic Curie-Weiss temperature is positive (180K). The anti-ferromagnetic Neel temperature obtained from the neutron diffraction experiment agrees with the peak temperature measured in high magnetic fields. Discussion of the magnetization peak in high and low magnetic fields is given.
