Summary:In the United States, the Clean Lakes Program was created to assist locals in managing and restoring their lakes. Utilizing a holistic framework for water quality management, this multiphase program has supported the successful restoration of lakes all over the country. Locals have found the Clean Lakes approach to be a cost effective way to restore their lakes. Two case studies are presented to demonstrate the value and effectiveness of the Clean Lakes approach.
