Summary: | This study is focus on the double discharge formation and its properties with respect to the influence of various factors such as dielectric material and the parameters of the applied high voltage. A secondary discharge was induced at the end of a slow falling voltage flank, when a semi-sine uni-polar pulse voltage excites the DBD. The secondary discharge is always formed and its amplitude, as well as the amplitude of the main discharge depends on surface properties of the dielectric barrier and on the electrical parameters of the applied voltage. The most efficient treatment of a polymer sample in DBD plasma is made if the polymer is placed on the ground electrode. Moreover, the polymer site which is found towards the ground electrode is three times roughness than the other one. |
