Description
Summary:The aim of this research project presented here was the suitability assessment using rubber granulation in lightened cement mortars. This rubber granulation was made from worn tyres. It was obtained by mechanical grinding. The uses proposed for this type of mortars in the construction field are as packing material. Therefore, the only condition needed is the low density and easy handling on the construction. From the results obtained, more expensive lightweight aggregates could be substituted by rubber granulation derived from the rejected tyres.
