Summary:The JAMA Summit is a new initiative by JAMA editors to facilitate discussion and action on important issues in science, medicine, and public health. The Summit aims to elicit new ideas, promote cross-sector dialogue, and identify opportunities for progress. The Summit consists of two phases: convening thought leaders to discuss and debate pressing topics, and elaborating on these themes through published articles and multimedia. The inaugural JAMA Summit focused on randomized clinical trials and explored ways to improve their design and conduct. The next Summit will address the integration of artificial intelligence in clinical care. JAMA welcomes input and suggestions for future Summits and invites readers to share their comments and ideas. The JAMA Summit represents a continuation of JAMA's mission to advance the science and art of medicine and improve public health.
