Description
Summary:According to the glenoid track measurement (defined below), this bipolar lesion (both a bony Bankart and Hill-Sachs lesions) was classified as off-track, indicating that the Hill-Sachs lesion is larger than the remaining glenoid articular surface, putting this patient at a high risk for recurrent anterior shoulder dislocation. Determination of ‘on-track’ or ‘off-track’ glenoid bone loss pattern can influence surgical management, but if more detailed bony anatomical evaluation is required, CT is indicated. MRI evaluation of bipolar bone loss using the on-track off-track method: a feasibility study.
