Summary: | To evaluate the clinical evidence of platelet‐rich plasma (PRP) in the treatment of venous ulcers (VUs). Electronic searches were conducted through the Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Embase and PubMed. AMSTAR‐2 was used to assess the methodological quality. The quality of evidence was assessed using the GRADE system. According to AMSTAR‐2, the methodological quality of the included reviews was generally inadequate owing to the limitations of entries 2, 4 and 7. Due to bias risk and imprecision, the evidence quality of the outcome measures was inadequate. In conclusion, PRP may have a therapeutic effect on VUs. However, this conclusion must be treated with caution due to methodological flaws of the included systematic reviews and meta‐analyses. |
