Summary: | [...]I do not sing as much anymore. All this has made me more aware of exposing my students to many kinds of differences and teaching them that, while our society has made great strides toward acceptance, we have to keep the momentum going, and we have to keep accepting people for who they are inside and out. Ellen: I would ask other educators just to not judge children for how they look...and to be comfortable asking children what they can do and what they need help with (or, depending on the child's age, asking the child's family). The Method can allow for children who require extra time or review of concepts to not feel stressed or pushed. |
