MY BLACK SHEEP

IT is a very strange thing, after being poor for the greater part of your life, to wake up suddenly to the fact that you are a rich woman. Yet this is what happened to me, an old maid of five-and-fifty summers, who had lived for thirty-five years in what many people would call poverty.
