Summary:In the present research the relationship between the self-correlation and the correlation with potential targets is examined. This relationship is important since one can think of the POF as an edge enhancer; by the way of division of the amplitude in the complex match filter, and an integrator by integrating the product of the point spread function filter and the scene. The self-correlation is used as a template for filtering out unwanted random noise in a scene with known targets.
