Summary: | A polymer brush‐supported 4‐N,N‐dialkylaminopyridine catalyst was prepared by surface‐initiated nitroxide‐mediated polymerization from initiator functionalized crosslinked polystyrene particles. The hairy particles efficiently catalyzed the acylation of secondary alcohols and Baylis‐Hillman reaction of 4‐nitrobenzaldehyde and methyl vinyl ketone, and were recycled at least six times with no or negligible decrease in the reaction yield. |
