Controllable reverse double U-shaped defected ground structure for bandpass filter with improved out-of-band performances

Summary: | This letter presents a bandpass filter with low insertion loss and suppression of spurious resonance, which is implemented by using the controllable reverse double U‐shaped defected ground structure (RDU‐DGS) cells. The proposed RDU‐DGS cells are with the advantage of good controllability of band rejections without occupying too much area. The measured results of the proposed bandpass filters are in good agreement with simulated ones. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
