Effect of charge transfer on bandshape analysis for low-wavenumber Raman spectra of alkali metal halide aqueous solutions
Low‐wavenumber Raman scattering spectra of aqueous NaI solutions were measured with 488.0 and 514.5 nm excitation. The enhancement of the spectral intensity caused by I− ion does not depend on the excitation wavelength. We can apply the phenomenological analysis to the low‐wavenumber Raman spectra o...

Summary: | Low‐wavenumber Raman scattering spectra of aqueous NaI solutions were measured with 488.0 and 514.5 nm excitation. The enhancement of the spectral intensity caused by I− ion does not depend on the excitation wavelength. We can apply the phenomenological analysis to the low‐wavenumber Raman spectra of alkali metal halide aqueous solutions even when the ‘pre‐resonance effect’ of proton transfer changes the mode intensity.
