Description
Summary:The influence of EDTA and OEDP on the magnetite dissolution rate in various experimental conditions was studied. From a comparative analysis of rate data in commensurate conditions, EDTA is a more efficient complexone than OEDP. The effect of both the nitrogen-bearing and the phosphorus-bearing complexones was to change the potential at the oxide/solution interface. The potential-controlling reaction was recognized as Fe III Y − + H + + e = Fe II HY − .
