Description
Summary:Growth of bis(thiourea) cadmium formate (BTCF) single crystals by slow evaporation technique has been reported. The grown crystals are characterized by powder XRD technique. Surface morphology of BTCF was studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The UV-vis-IR spectrum confirms the cut-off wavelength of the sample around 290 nm with a wide optical transmission window (290–2000 nm). The laser damage threshold of BTCF is found to be higher than that of KDP. The thermal studied by TGA and DTA techniques confirm the decomposition of the sample around 190 °C. The dc conductivity study shows that the conductivity of BTCF increases with temperature.
