Summary: | Given the wide range of potential applications the study of the mechanical behavior of metal foams is considered imperative. The elastoplastic behavior of a Nickel open‐cell foam is investigated under tension loads. X‐ray tomography 2D images were used to determine the foam 3D structure in order to build a FE model simulating the micro‐tension conditions of the foam. |
