Summary:The efficiency of seven functional monomers toward radiation vulcanization of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) were following the order: Tertamethylol methane tetraacrylate (ATMMT) = Toluene diisocyanate (UA306T) > Trimethylol propane trimethacrylate (TMPT) > Diethylene glycol dimethacrylate (2G) > Dipentaerthritol hexaacrylate (DPE6A) > Hexamethylene diisocyanate (UA101H) > Triallyl cyanurate (TAC). Also, it was found that low absorption of ATMMT has been overcome at low dose. The observed clear and transparent sheets indicate that the reaction was complete.
