Summary: | The goal of this work was to prepare a polymer composite from totally local materials that had good abrasive properties, reasonable compressive strength, and one that could be easily applied.
A number of local composites based on urea-formaldehyde and using ammonium chloride as a hardener have been prepared.
It was concluded that the % hardener depends on the temperature of application, while the cure time depends on the composite formulations. Suggested applications for these composites are flooring material for railways and building bricks. |
