Dating the Middle-to-Upper-Paleolithic Transition at Kara-Bom
The process of dating the middle-to-upper-Paleolithic transition at Kara-Bom, an open-air site located in the Gorno-Altai Autonomous Oblast in Russia, is described and discussed. Excavations have revealed seven stratigraphically separate Upper Pleistocene cultural occupations.
