Description
Summary:Investigates several hypotheses about the relationships between performance on a gender-neutral task and gender self-efficacy, performance attributions, and task interest. Randomly assigned 92 subjects to a success or failure condition who attempted to solve a series of easy or difficult anagrams. Results indicate that changes in self-efficacy expectations as a result of task success or failure were in accordance with predictions from the self-efficacy theory. (Abstract amended)
