The epidemiology of religious coping: a review of recent literature

Harrison summarizes recent findings concerning the prevalence, predictors, and outcomes of religious coping. In studies employing a wide variety of methods, religious coping was found to be common across samples and was predicted by social, personal, and situational factors.
