Summary: | While inappropriate for direct classroom use, this volume is of great value in nontraditional teaching & for personal use. It can be utilized where comparison of Slavic languages is advantageous, or an interest in overall Slavic vocabulary is shown. It is, however, primarily constructed for the linguist, containing two hundred Slavic roots & their manifestations in Russian, Polish, Czech & Serbo-Croatian, totalling over thirteen thousand. While it is unfortunate that information on Slavic suffixes was not compiled, this is nevertheless a work of very high quality. T. Lamb |
