Summary: | Discussed are data obtained during three study trips working with 200 speakers of Djaru in Western Australia. Djaru has agreement between full NPs & bound pronouns. Several rules are formulated to account for agreement possibilities. Animacy, number, & case hierarchies are discussed. It is shown that different aspects of agreement may be based on different principles. Phonological, semantic, & grammatical factors interact in a complex way.
