Description
Summary:Interview data from a sample of 440 full-time employed couples from 11 states reveal that more time is spent on housework in Ru families than in Ur families because Ru women spend more time on such tasks than do Ur women; Ru & Ur husbands' times do not differ. Education of spouses, job status differentials, & age of youngest child do not significantly interact with Ru-Ur residence & sex of spouse doing more housework. However, family income does significantly influence the relationship between time spent on housework for both Ru & Ur husbands & wives. 4 Tables, 1 Figure, 23 References. Modified AA
