Summary: | Three studies of attitudes toward love & sex held by single & married homosexual & heterosexual Ms & Fs in the US (totalN = 390) & Sweden (totalN = 179) are summarized. Ss sorted 33 statements referring to sex, love, & service behaviors into 2 categories on the basis of their perceived similarity. As predicted, Ms in both countries separated sex & love behaviors more than did Fs; this gender difference was accentuated in homosexuals & diminished in married as opposed to single heterosexuals. However, Swedes did report a slightly greater association between love & sex than did their US counterparts. 1 Table, 2 Figures, 13 References. K. Hyatt |
