Obituaries: Adlen Cary Hayes (1916-1998)

National Park Service ranger-archeologist Alden Cary Hayes occupied a unique place in Southwestern US archaeology. During his 20 years with the National Park Service, he perfected the exacting techniques of the "total" archaeological survey. Cary is remembered.
