Description
Summary:Semantic diff'ial measurements were made upon 2 S groups (students & housewives) for 2 classes of concepts (dramatic & instit'al). `Meaningfulness' (Polarity) D scores were compared in order to test for diff's between individual S's, S groups, concepts, & serial order of presentation. Consistently large diff's in polarity of response were found between individual S's. On the average, students gave less polar responses than housewives to some concepts but not to others. In some cases the dramatic concepts elicited signif'ly more polar responses than the instit'al ones. There was a tendency for the concept presented first to display greater polarity of response than those presented later. Implications-of these findings are discussed for res using the semantic diff'ial. AA.
