Summary:An abstract of the article examining the validity of three questions administered by telephone as a simple, low cost screening instrument for early detection of cognitive decline in a managed care setting by J. Hill et al is presented. Results show that a 2- and 3-item telephone dementia screening instrument is predictive of dementia as compared to Mini Mental Status Exam, Alzheimer's Disease Assessment Scale-COG, and Clinical Dementia Rating in a managed care setting.
