Summary: | Men have generally not been integrated into family planning & reproductive health services, because of fear that their involvement would drain resources. To address this concern, 145 participants, mainly from Africa & Asia, at the May 1997 AVSC (acronym not defined) International workshop in Mombasa, Kenya, developed programs to educate men about reproductive health, supporting their partners, & preventing the spread of sexually transmitted diseases. Each team drafted a plan for resource assessment, strategies, & activities in their specific countries. 13 References. M. Pflum |
