Summary:Identifies the need to develop community approaches to health care issues. Recent bills, programs, laws, & issues are cited to support the claim that the US health care agenda is beginning to reflect awareness of the need for foresight, quality, universal coverage, equitable decision-making power, & community collaboration. Examples of community-oriented efforts are provided. It is concluded that the solution to health care issues cannot be expected to come from any single source, but from collaboration between people, the government, & the marketplace. 2 References. C.
