Summary: | The paper examines the differences in the lifestyle of drug abusers with & without criminal careers. The goal is to establish the relations between degree of risk & criminogenic needs with indicators of addict & criminal lifestyle. The research starts with two basic hypotheses: (1) there is a statistically significant relation between degree of criminogenic needs & risk (LSI-R) & the components of lifestyle; & (2) there are no statistically significant differences between subsample with recorded criminal career & subsample without it, on all examined components of lifestyle & the degree of criminogenic needs & risk (LSI-R). The research utilizes a sample of 100 respondents divided into 2 subsamples -- drug addicts with & without criminal records. Lifestyle components will be questioned through 7 tests (Walters, 1998), & the assessment of the criminal lifestyle through LSI-R (Andrews, Bonta, 1995). The data will be analyzed through descriptive methods (analysis of absolute & relative frequencies & variance analysis). After that, relations of components of the LSI-R questionnaire & the instruments for assessment of the lifestyle will be analyzed through regressive analysis. The differences between respondents within the subsamples will be analyzed through discriminative analysis. 27 References. Adapted from the source document. |
